Ingredients

Everything Bagel Bites
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 3 tbsp everything bagel seasoning
  • cooking spray for coating bagel bites

Equipment

  • Medium Mixing Bowl
  • Air Fryer

Method

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, add the self-rising and Greek yogurt. Using a fork, mix until a slightly sticky and wet dough forms. Sprinkle a small amount of all-purpose flour on your hands and dough and knead in the bowl until a ball forms. This will take about 1 minute.
  2. Take the dough and lay it onto a lightly floured work surface and continue kneading for another minute. Roll into a ball.
  3. Use a knife or bench scraper to cut the ball of dough into 12-14 equal bagel bites. Roll the bagel bites in your palms and put them on a clean plate until all have been rolled.
  4. Preheat your air-fryer to 350F.
  5. Lightly spray the bagel bites with cooking spray on all sides.
  6. In a small bowl, add the everything bagel seasoning. Place 2-3 bagel bites at a time in the bowl and toss to coat the bites in the seasoning. Continue until all are coated.
  7. Lightly spray the air-fryer basket with cooking spray or use air-fryer liners and place 6 bagel bites in the air-fryer. Cook at 350F for 12 minutes. The tops should be golden brown. If they're not fully cooked, flip them all and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Cook the second batch.
  8. Let cool slightly and optionally enjoy with cream cheese!

Notes

  • If the dough is too sticky to handle, add a little extra self-rising flour, one tablespoon at a time, until it becomes easier to work with.
  • Thick plain Greek yogurt works best for this recipe. Avoid regular yogurt, which can make the dough too wet.
  • Make all of the bagel bites the same size so they cook evenly in the air fryer.
  • Air fryer cooking times may vary slightly depending on the model. Cook until the bagel bites are golden brown and cooked through.
  • For a different flavor, substitute the everything bagel seasoning with sesame seeds, poppy seeds, or your favorite bagel topping.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature or up to 5 days in the refrigerator.
